how to tell about yourself? here goes…

I am a husband, father, son and grandson. For those of you who have any of those things in your possession know what love is and how I feel about it. The single greatest thing in the world is love.

I am a musician. Drummer originally. Now I play the guitar, bass, ukulele, keys, harmonica and drums. I write songs that only my select group of friends will hear. although my slideshows and music on the website are done by me and my band…gideous moon. {which consists of…me}. Some of my best days as a teen and early 20 something are playing music in a band with 2 great friends. There are few truly great feelings in this world that you can share and making music is one of the best feelings in the world. Ansel Adams used to say that photography is like music….I believe this. That is why I am so passionate about my photography. Its from the music and the feelings that images bring me and hopefully the viewer.

I like sports. I like punk rock music. I like jazz. I like reality T.V. I still love to watch Seinfeld. I watch bad T.V. too! George Lopez makes me laugh. Saved by the bell. no joke….Runs House…you get the idea. I coach our sons baseball team. I like to help others. I like to sit and listen to loud music. I collect vinyl records. I try to keep my desk nice, but its always messy. But I know where everything is on it.

My dad was a photographer.

I used to travel the woods and landscapes with a 4×5 view camera in hopes of becoming Edward Weston. Instead I became Dusty Brown. I miss my darkroom.

If I had a choice to be outside or indoors, I pick indoors. Not that I dont like it outside, because I do, I said if I had a choice……and it depends on the location.

I dont fly. You can try and change it but I dont fly. I just dont like it up there anymore.

My wife and kids put up with a lot from me during the busy months of this job. I love them for always smiling.

I like a good garage sale too. You never know what you’ll find.

I’m quirky. Funny. Smart and Dutch……does that all really fit in that sentence.

I’ll add more as I think about it more…..I think this could be good therapy!!
