Jamie and I were there when Claire & Sam were married this past Saturday at Calvin College Chapel in Grand Rapids. The reception was help at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada. Such a great day, bubbly bride, past bride and groom Beth & Brian and lots of new friends {thanks Bridal Party!}

Grand Rapids Senior Pictures

Just wanted to pass along a note to say we are officially booking for the 2013 Seniors. If you are planning your summer around vacations and summer camps do not forget to schedule your Senior Pictures. Every year I get phone calls from parents saying how this event in their child’s life has snuck up on them. Forgetting to plan for Senior Pictures around the crazy summer they plan is always number one in the August – September Senior phone calls. Start planning now and get a session on the books, then you can plan around Senior Portraits and not vacation Senior Pictures are the start of the Senior year for your High Schooler. To have the chance to be part of that is an honor.

It’s not to early to book a session and its easy. Make the call to me, have your calendar nearby, book the day and thats it. No matter how ridiculous you think a question is, don t hesitate to call. I can answer it for you and give you helpful hints to plan the session.

Dog Portraits

Over the last few years clients from all over Grand Rapids have asked me to photograph their dogs. Well there have been some cats too….along with a few horses….oh yeah and a bull but I will save those for another post. Session fees for our K-9 Sessions in the studio are only $30. If you are waiting to get your dog photographed….dont. This summer will be too busy and this fall will be even busier…for you and me. Its a great time now with spring on the way. We have K-9 Sessions planned for March only so hopefully we will see you and your pooch soon.

Studio Move. Rockford Mi Photographer

The past two weeks have been a flurry of hope, inspiration, nervousness and excitement.

After 16 years in the photography business I have decided to open a studio. Now that the drywall and mess is cleaned up I thought I would officially (well unless your on our facebook page) announce it here on the blog.

I still have another week or so to go before I feel comfy to open to the city patrons. The signs are on the windows, the lights are up, the walls are dry and painted.

I will have a photo documentary of the whole thing next week once the photos are in place on the wall.

Meg , Andrew and I have a relationship that goes back a few years. They hired me for engagement pictures in Chicago and also their fabulous wedding at Cascade Country Club. Now they come up from Chicago for me to photograph their baby Leighton. What a doll! Thanks Meg and Andrew for making the trip. We spent the mid day taking baby portraits and family pictures in Grand Rapids. They let me have freedom and these are just a few we came up with. Enjoy.

Jacklyn & Adam | Public Museum of Grand Rapids Wedding

Its January in Michigan and that typically involves snowy slushy roads, blizzards and terms on the evening news forecast like wind chill and snow advisories. But on their wedding date Jacklyn and Adam brought us good luck with the driving temperatures and even the possibility of taking a wedding party outdoors here in Grand Rapids.

As usual the Public Museum of Grand Rapids was a magnificent setting for the out of town guests, the local friends and family and the bridal party. Her Disney themed wedding was a smash. Their party rocked and of course the wedding pictures on the carousel were absolutely a blast!

Abby and I had a great day photographing and documenting for you both! We hope you enjoy

My blog asks for nothing in return.

It never begs for more.

It doesnt warble when I load it unlimited.

It loves me unconditionally.

I have been to busy photographing to keep up with it.

Seems like I need to add an employee just to blog!
