Its January in Michigan and that typically involves snowy slushy roads, blizzards and terms on the evening news forecast like wind chill and snow advisories. But on their wedding date Jacklyn and Adam brought us good luck with the driving temperatures and even the possibility of taking a wedding party outdoors here in Grand Rapids.

As usual the Public Museum of Grand Rapids was a magnificent setting  for the out of town guests, the local friends and family and the bridal party.  Her Disney themed wedding was a smash. Their party rocked and of course the wedding pictures on the carousel were absolutely a blast!

Sara & Craig were married at Bridge Street Wedding Chapel in Grand Ledge, a fantastic place to get married in. All the details are terrific. The owners are photographers and put the thought into what furniture and details may be in the background of the photographs. After the wedding we made a pit stop to see Sparty on the campus of Michigan State University. What Spartan would not want to see Sparty on wedding day? The reception was at Eagle Eye in Bath Michigan. Thanks Sara & Craig, Abby and I had such a blast with you all!

Kiki & Jarrod were warm and inviting for Amy and I as we headed over for their Detroit Wedding from Grand Rapids. Instantly feeling welcomed at her parents house by not only her parents but the bridal party we fell right into a groove. A fantastic November day in Michigan for their wedding. Thanks again you two!!

At last weekends Detroit wedding Amy and I got to see these two work their cute magic all day. As Christina and Jarrods wedding pictures from Detroit unfold I could not keep these two to myself much longer.  More to come

Just to give a little update on how the website rebuild is going. If you have been following along the site has grown incredibly in the last 2 days. I finally got the past images to load…thanks tons to Jamie from Color Splash for the awesome wordpress plugin from Velvet Blues called UPDATE URLs. I certainly dont want to geek out here but all the “paths” for my images were spelled out a certain way from the old blog…the needed a new “path”…written one by one….which if you take into the account I have been blogging since 2006 you would realize its over 2500 images….I was need deep in changing every image one by one. But thanks to the pluggin it worked like a charm in about 1.5 seconds!

We also spent some time re-uploading all of our gallery proofing. This took a few days but I am happy to say everything is back up! So if your gallery is not expired go look at them now

Also, just to inform you, in the move I lost all of my blog posts from the last of April until now…so I am going to be blogging a whole summers worth of sessions and weddings through the next few months. I will try not to overwhelm and do 2 a day for a while.

I would like to personally thank Darryl from intothedarkroom for his patience and his clear understanding of web building. Also the host site, site5 for  getting us back online as soon as they could.

The only things left are the galleries that will be permanently online for showing off your images I am in the process of going through terabytes of images to put up. It is a incredible reminder to all of you great clients how lucky I am to know each of you and get to photograph you. Thank you.

I realize that our site has been down from the internets for over a week. I realize that our site currently looks broken. I realize that some of you are waiting patiently to view this mess. I realize some people clicked on dustybrown.org only to find nothing but nothing. I apologize for all of this but it is out of my hands. Switching servers and website hosts were going smooth….until the hosting server decided it needed a break for about 4 days. We are now back up but working feverishly behind the scenes to make this the best darn photography site on the internets.
