When we had the oppertunity to get Sugar, we welcomed her into the house with open arms. She was Autum’s parents cat and was always our little loveable friend whenever we went for a visit.
Since bringing her into our home (in case you’ve never been here, we have Lilly the cat and shadow the dog) she has had to have the mandatory adjustment period just to get used to her new home. To be honest we wondered if she would ever get there!
Happy to say Sugar is now feeling very comfortable in her new house.
I present to you for the first time
Ever on the blog:

And a shot of Lilly and Shadow loving life.

Its been 2 crazy months over here. If you haven’t been following on Facebook or Twitter, I have been doing some spring projects. Measuring, cutting, hammering, mudding…that kind of stuffΒ  {I will reveal at a later date…}….but in between some of those days I have been seen around town supporting some great friends and making new ones.

First a few weeks ago Aletha asked if I would be the photographer for our MWEP meetings…..heres the link for the Facebook page MWEP. This is a gathering of local wedding professionals. A chance to hob nob with other professionals is always a great time.

Last week our great friends Ben and Laura, Jen, Jodi and Barb had the Grand Opening of A Modern Event and they too asked if I would be so kind to bring my camera and capture the evening. Just a great time and congrats to all of them on a sweet new adventure! It looks amazing!

Last week we were also featured on the Pearls Events blog with a wedding from last year, Jenn and Scott. Have a peek πŸ™‚ I love Alethas blog! She has a ton of classy, simple and just down right cool ideas for you brides.

Winner will be announced right after I mail my taxes in πŸ™‚ April 16.

Go ahead……see if you can keep your eyes from it. I couldnt’ for over a week!

I must thank BigFolio! I love them! They have been my website developers for over 3 years and still never a problem. An email away and you have your new site hosts. Check them out if you are looking for a new site.

It takes time to build a website and you all have heard me on Twitter and Facebook talk about it. So now here it is.

I just have to say that as I was going through thousands and thousands of images, I was reminded of one thing…how my clients trust and love me! I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for trusting me to come away with a great experience and great images. Thank you. I love you.

So now…go to it!

One of the most commented images I have ever taken. This is from Leah and Matt’s engagement session a while back. Everyone who sees this in person comments on it. πŸ™‚

Next week will start a theme Image of the day. I am going with venues next. Some of my favorite venues in Grand Rapids for receptions. I have them ready and lined up from the VanAndel Museum {Public mueseum of Grand Rapids} to the Fredrick Meijer Gardens and 4 more. Use the RSS to keep posted of my posts or use Google reader to keep up on all of your favorite blogs being updated.

What would you like to see more of? Dresses? Flowers? Seniors? Babies? Leave a comment and I’ll post your wishes……

After getting coffee the other morning I looked out the back window. Here is what I saw.

Image{s} of the day. One of my favorite sessions of 2008! Kelly is an X-BRIDE. X-BRIDES get free sessions for life. Yep, Dusty Brown Photography gives free sessions for life to all his Brides and Grooms. This was my first time meeting Owen {the baby}. I hope to be seeing much more of them in the future.

Going through thousands of images once a year to revamp the website is no doubt a task to take on in slower months. This past month I have been revamping my website with images and building this new blog. Looking through images from weddings and seniors and lifestyle families photographed here in Grand Rapids has been good for my growth. It is great to review and remember images you took from years past. So with the image of the day, here is one I forgot about. Anne and Brandon were married a few years back and on our way back to the reception we spotted this farm. We were there only minutes but I have 4 incredible images from it and here is one.

Image of the day brought to by Hermans Boy coffee. Located right in downtown Rockford. They make their own beans and have endless tastes for you. {They did not pay for this, I am just jacked up on their coffee ;-)}
