“Dusty Brown started his photography career as a commercial and advertising photographer more than 15 years ago. After discovering his love for shooting weddings, Dusty decided to make the transition to become a full-time wedding photographer. Adding Seniors and family portraits along the way was a natural progression. These days, Dusty likes to keep the amount of weddings to around 20 per year. This keeps his creativity fresh and his love for it strong. He usually photograph 50-70 Seniors each year and around 20-40 family session….including babies. Advertising photography is still a huge part of Dusty’s career doing 15-30 jobs each year.

Last month our most fantastic lab, Color inc., set out to have a “redo your studio”. They happened to pick me for an upgrade! Needless to say I was thrilled to be getting all done over down here. Everything we offer to you comes through this lab. Hi quality products…the best. Here are some images of the space you will soon to see once you come visit us to book us or to view your images to order from your session. So in love with our space now! Thanks Color Inc!!

When we had the oppertunity to get Sugar, we welcomed her into the house with open arms. She was Autum’s parents cat and was always our little loveable friend whenever we went for a visit.
Since bringing her into our home (in case you’ve never been here, we have Lilly the cat and shadow the dog) she has had to have the mandatory adjustment period just to get used to her new home. To be honest we wondered if she would ever get there!
Happy to say Sugar is now feeling very comfortable in her new house.
I present to you for the first time
Ever on the blog:
Sugar 🙂

And a shot of Lilly and Shadow loving life.

I just wanted to take a minute to publicly thank Amway Corporation for the terrific opportunity to be the Lead Photographer on the Amway 50th Anniversary Celebration.  Although I cannot post any photos contractually, I will say that most of the photos were some of the best I have ever taken! I was humbled to get the chance to quote on it and was more than excited when I was awarded the job.

I also want to thank the photographers I hired for the event. Brian Bass was amazing. Bob Medvedenko helped out immensely  in the prep stages…{side note, Bob had to have a kidney removed right before the start of his photography portion. He is doing well so if you know Bob send him some love.} and Ben and Laura Harrison for helping out with the Decorating portion through Ivan Carlson. You can see some of the images Ben and Laura took here. Thanks again to all of you for helping me out with this extraordinary event!

Thank you to the entire staff at Amway for making this event such a huge success. It was quite an undertaking with literally years of planning.

I am honored that the images we took will be part of the collective history of the future of Amway.

Its been 2 crazy months over here. If you haven’t been following on Facebook or Twitter, I have been doing some spring projects. Measuring, cutting, hammering, mudding…that kind of stuff  {I will reveal at a later date…}….but in between some of those days I have been seen around town supporting some great friends and making new ones.

First a few weeks ago Aletha asked if I would be the photographer for our MWEP meetings…..heres the link for the Facebook page MWEP. This is a gathering of local wedding professionals. A chance to hob nob with other professionals is always a great time.

Last week our great friends Ben and Laura, Jen, Jodi and Barb had the Grand Opening of A Modern Event and they too asked if I would be so kind to bring my camera and capture the evening. Just a great time and congrats to all of them on a sweet new adventure! It looks amazing!

Last week we were also featured on the Pearls Events blog with a wedding from last year, Jenn and Scott. Have a peek 🙂 I love Alethas blog! She has a ton of classy, simple and just down right cool ideas for you brides.

Last night I spent the evening at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel for a great fundraiser event for the West Michigan Film Alliance. Red Carpet Ready is an annual event held to help raise money for the film industry in Grand Rapids and West Michigan. It was a great time! Thanks to Brian from the PhotoBooth Company for passing my name on. And to Hillary and her staff for making it a terrific evening.

The event was held in the Pantlind Ballroom.

It takes time to build a website and you all have heard me on Twitter and Facebook talk about it. So now here it is.

I just have to say that as I was going through thousands and thousands of images, I was reminded of one thing…how my clients trust and love me! I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for trusting me to come away with a great experience and great images. Thank you. I love you.
